Family Backgrounds
Born in an agriculturist family and his father was an active social worker in rural areas of Buldana District. Father was also a member of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation.
As an Advocate
  • Appointed as a Hon. Astt. to the District Govt. Pleader Nagpur for the year 1976-77.
  • Appointed as a Hon. Asstt. to the Govt. Pleader in the High Court at Nagpur in the year 1978 and continued till appointment as an Assistant Government Pleader. (i.e. 1983).
  • Appointed as an Asstt. Govt. Pleader and Public Prosecutor in the High Court at Nagpur in the year 1983 and continued till February 1991 (worked about 9 years) till appointed as a Government Pleader.
  • Appointed as a Govt. Pleader in the High Court of Judicature at Bombay, Nagpur Bench, Nagpur in February 1991 and continued up to 31.10.95. This appointment was approved by the High Power Committee constituted by the Govt. of Maharashtra at that time.
  • Ex-officio Vice-President of District Legal Aid and Advice Committee from February 1991 to October 1995.
  • Appointed as an “A” Panel Counsel in the High Court at Nagpur by Govt. of Maharashtra since 2001 and till appointed on the post of State Information Commissioner.
  • Appeared for Government of Maharashtra in many important cases before the Hon’ble High Court. Worked for about 17 years as a Govt. Advocate handling various types of litigation of all the Govt. Departments, like Constitutional matters, Civil matters, Criminal matters, Service matters, Land Acquisition matters, Labour & Industrial matters etc.
